Film & Acting Credits
COVID-19 Short Film
During the COVID-19 pandemic, I appeared in a short film portraying a patient and son. My character was stubborn and continued going out and partying despite the dangers of COVID-19.
In the film, Dr. Wells warned my character that I could die if I did not stay home and take the pandemic seriously. The role helped communicate an important message about personal responsibility, health, and the consequences of ignoring medical warnings during the pandemic.

My Experience
Attending the VIP reception gave me an opportunity to meet and connect with people involved in writing, entertainment, advocacy, and public service.
As an author and child-welfare reform advocate, I value opportunities to engage in conversations about children, families, disability rights, accountability, and meaningful reform within the child-welfare system.
I am grateful for the opportunity to have attended this special event as Daphna Edwards Ziman’s VIP guest.

Children Uniting Nations
Supporting Children, Families & the Future of Child Welfare
Children Uniting Nations (CUN), founded by Daphna Edwards Ziman, is a nonprofit organization focused on supporting foster and at-risk youth through mentoring, advocacy, education, and community involvement.
After attending Daphna Edwards Ziman’s book signing and VIP reception as her invited guest, I became interested in learning more about Children Uniting Nations and its work within the child-welfare community.
As an author and child-welfare reform advocate, I believe conversations about child welfare should include not only supporting children in foster care, but also strengthening families, protecting parental and disability rights, improving accessibility for Deaf parents, and addressing systemic barriers that can prevent successful family reunification.
I look forward to continuing conversations about how advocates, nonprofit organizations, families, and policymakers can work toward a child-welfare system that protects children while giving families a fair and meaningful opportunity to remain together.
